Tony Cole at Holiday Point Online (formerly known as The Timeshare Mart) sold my Marriott Son Antem, Majorca week. I insisted on receiving 750 (half the agreed price) before I would sign the sale agreement. It took over a year for the transaction to complete & then only because I communicated directly with Marriott, USA, to keep pushing it through. I later found The buyers paid the entire purchase price up front so Tony Cole had little incentive to complete since he was then meant to pay me the rest (750). When it did complete, Tony Cole advised he didnt have my money & claimed the business was being closed down. He said he would pay me the money out of his own pocket (so kind!). He paid some over the next 3 months, then stopped, with 250 still owed, and blocked my phone number. He effectively stole my property, sold it & kept a chunk of my money, on top of the extra he would have sold it for since I got very little. He got more from my property than I did! I searched for info & found he had been sued for a similar issue so he appears to be a con man. I am reporting the fraud. Avoid.
I am having a similar experience to Tracy Faulkner. We supposedly sold our timeshare through The Timeshare Mart last year. We were asked to book our week in May for the prospective buyers. Malcolm at The Timeshare Mart told me not to pay the maintenance fee as the buyer would pay it. We were then sent the contracts again to sign on 29 January 2016 because they said Marriott needed them with all signatures on. Since then it has been impossible to find out what is going on. Marriott are now hassling me because I have not paid the maintenance fee. The week for the buyer is about to be cancelled and every time I email I get no reply. Malcolm is supposedly off sick again and when I have just rung Malcolm and Tony are not in the office until some time this afternoon. I don't know what is happening but it doesn't look good. If you want to contact me Tracy Faulkner I am on Facebook.
We used Timeshare Mart a few years ago to sell a week at Marriott Andaluza and all went well. When we wished to sell our second week, we found a buyer ourselves but used TSM to lead us through the admin with Marriott (and paid them). They received the money from the buyer in February. She received the certificate in October, so at least that side of the deal has been done. We have not received our money and they continue to ignore our calls, emails and threat to take them to small claims court. I believe they are going down the tubes and taking our money with them. They have behaved despicably. I would like to hear other people's experiences, I don't think we are alone.
I used The Timeshare Mart initially to rent my Marriott Vacation Resort. I had not been able to use it for a couple of years and Tony & Georgina suggested renting. Timeshare Mart were able to achieve a rent which covered my maintenance fees without any hassle. We then decided to try to sell without too much expectation bearing in mind the generally bad publicity for the Timeshare Resale Market. After a couple of false starts The Timeshare Mart found a suitable purchaser at pretty much the asking price. The deal was completed to my satisfaction.Going into this with all the fears of timeshare selling I have found Georgina and Tony at the Timeshare Mart to understand and realise my expectations and manage the whole procedure/administration in a timely and professional manner.
