My wife and I are National Trust members and have visited Melford Hall many times. There is a Cafe here for light meals and a lot garden. Well worth a visit. The town nearby has several hostelries where you can get a wide variety of meals.
So fortunate to have accidentally caught the venue at this time of year. House was so atmospheric... it was lovely. All the volunteers looked fantastic. Lovely grounds
What a wonderful place to visit. Blessed with fine weather the grounds are lovely with the hint of autumn colouring the landscape. The house is extremely interesting and has had a very varied history. Watch out for all the little things that make this place so charming.
Lovely place to visit. Beautiful house and gardens as you come to expect from the national trust. One of the smaller properties that I have visited owned by the trust but still very interesting. The staff are friendly and informative.
We loved it here. Lovely house with lots of interest. Pleasant gardens with plant sales area and little gift shop. You can have tea out on the lawn among the dahlias. Take a short walk to the church over the green. Or walk into the village which is close by and has a lot of good pubs and shops.
