My husband and I stayed here on Monday, it was absolutely gorgeous. The hotel is stunning and the service is the best Ive ever come across. The spa is also so beautiful and clean. The only two things Id mention is there was a very yappy dog in the room next to us so if we went again wed ask not to be put in the dog area. Also, the food was amazing but someone had got a little salt happy, the veg especially was very salty. Otherwise this was a gorgeous visit and we cant wait to go back.
Birthday meal for daughter-in-law, 40 people celebrated. Meal was very good, the beef Wellington was so delicious that it almost melted in the mouth, chocolate torte with toffee popcorn and peanut cream yummy. The building is amazing. A must see even if not dining.
Fabulous lunch. A superb team of staff who were vigilant but not over attentive so as to intrude on our family time. The food was delicious. Mackerel, chicory and beetroot salad. Sea bass with gnocchi, prawns and tomato sauce and I had a pina colada style parfait for desert. A lovely day.
An absolute treat.Everything beautifully and thoughtfully done. Service excellent and wonderful food. Delightful setting and special diets catered for better than I've ever experienced.Another 5 stars today......a beautiful lunch which was so tasty.....excellent value for money. Always a treat. The plate of food was a picture..... thank you.
Review of afternoon tea:Generally a good experience. Beautiful building located in a very quaint little village. Service was good and the food and tea were of a high quality. There is a great selection of teas to accompany the scones and cakes. Two minor criticisms - the sandwiches were a little dry and some of the cakes overly sweet. Otherwise, highly recommended!
