Popped in here with family over Christmas 2018. We wanted a pub with atmosphere and this did not disappoint. Friendly bar manager and, of course, Nethergate beers made for a great night. Thanks - Kevin W

Came her again on the 12th May 2018. My brother was bringing my mother for a meal and she is frail and 94 yrs old. We didn't know it was a BBQ day. So food was restricted to BBQ and the kitchen closed.I said I would wait and see if the liked anything they had if not we would go somewhere else reluctantly. ( she has to eat normal plain food).Me and the missus sat drinking and waiting then Kay came over and helped us find a place easiest to get to for my mum. We sat drinking before they arrived and Kay came back and said she had spoken to Scott and he said we could have anything in the kitchen that was available. They even wrote a hand written menu for us...!!!Paul the chef cooked us all something up which was so appreciated. Me and the missus live locally but, my brother and mum travelled about 50 miles here. She was so chuffed you did that for her.We had a great time, good food, good beer.BIG thank you to KAY, ( the resident stalker), Scott and Paul.Thank you for caring and making my mums days so much better!
We went as a party of 18 to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. The staff were very helpful. Lovely freshly cooked food and very good value. We had 6 children in our party and they were well catered for. Recommend
