I've been going to Select Hair Design for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. They take their time and are only happy when you are happy. A rare thing these days.
I have been a regular customer at Select for over 16 years now and won't go anywhere else. I've been to other salons over the years when I've left it too late to get an appointment at Select but the level of detail and satisfaction is severely lacking everywhere else. Lucy has the whole team listen at length to what you want and then work with what you realistically have to reach the best possible outcome, where as other establishments give you what they think you want it that know how to cut. I've paid lots of money at T&G and top top London salons and have always rushed back to Lauren (Lucy taught her well) to fix whatever catastrophe someone else has created.I've long since learned my lesson and book my next appointment well in advance. You honestly couldn't wish for a more customer focussed, socially pleasant and great value for money hair experience.
I have been using this salon now for 15 years and have always left extremely happy. Weather it be a hair-up or a cut and colour. I have always had Amy do my hair and she is fantastic. Lauren is just as fantastic as I have had her do my hair since Amy has been away.I always get a warm friendly welcome when I visit the salon, and always feel comfortable and looked after while I am there.If you are looking for an up to date hairdressing salon that offers great service then this is the place for you. Highly recommended.
A good hairdressing salon is more than just somewhere that offers top class hair treatments; it should also be a pleasant social experience. Select in Sudbury is both of these things. My wife, who has her hair coloured and cut, has tried all the stylists now and they are without exception all excellent. But more than that the atmosphere in the salon is friendly and welcoming, lead by boss Lucy.The sometimes awkward business of tipping is also well handled with little jars (I think they are piggy banks) on the counter for each individual member of staff. Long gone are the days when men went to barbers and only women frequented such places. Men and women are equally welcome and sit side by side so I have my hair done right alongside my wife. This is a salon that can be thoroughly recommended on all counts!
