We went here for couples spa day that had been a gift for Christmas. It was so disappointing! The staff were busy chatting about their partners being inconsiderate, the pool was very small, the staff really did not have a clue what they were doing. We were chasing the staff to book our treatments. If I had not asked what the procedure was for returning for our treatments - we would have missed our appointment. We left feeling disappointed, bitter and staunch that we would never return here and further more - advise as many of our friends as possible to avoid, avoid, avoid! I have never left a spa feeling worse than when I arrived before - I can only hope that this doesn't happen again...
If you are looking for the full Spa relaxation experience, then i would advise you look else where because this place is just play at it. From the moment we stepped into the building we were kept waiting by our host before a rushed and informative tour of the facilities. After the tour we were left sitting again while the staff had a chat about what they got up to last night. Having sought out our un-engaging host ourselves and prompt her about choosing our treatment, we finally managed to start our spa day nearly 45 minutes after arrival.Pool, steam room and Jacuzzi were small but nice, however, there really is no need for so may signs and notices blue tacked everywhere if your hosts are up to scratch. Never got close sauna, that was firmly reserved by a group of surly regulars.Treatments were relaxing and our therapist were professional, although there was the constant noise of the staff chatting outside the room for the whole time.Lunch after the treatment was tasty enough although, for 12 I expect my food to be better than supermarket own brand ingredients thrown onto a fancy shaped plate and accompanied by mismatched cutlery. The bill brought one final disappointment and confirmed to us that this place is being run on the cheap by amateurs. Our bill consisted of hand written notes that were totted up on a calculator by the gym boy; not the usual printed itemized bill on headed paper you would expect after spending 200 on the ultimate spa in your neighbors barn experience.
Was a member, after cancelling my membership i was charged again. Once i got in contact i spoke to 3 different members of staff before i spoke to a manager. The manager then proceeded to his book of excuses from "someone left" to "the staff haven't had the proper training". Then i received a further email telling me its in their ts and cs to have a 28 cancellation policy. I then contacted the group they are a part of who proceeded to tell me there is no such clause. Poor management, the staff there are truly lovely. But the current manager has no clue what hes doing.
Disgrace. Shame it cannot be a 0 star review. Customer service not at all up to scratch and staff just lies and lies in order to get rid of you while on the phone. 4th day in a row I am being promised call backs from managers that AREN'T even there, and then I get apologies and "not knows" as to why I was told this that and the other. Disgusting service, dishonest people.
Lovely spa, good size pool, Jacuzzi, steam and sauna a little on the small side. Comfortable and quiet relaxation room with 6 day beds, blankets and pillows. Nice treatment rooms. Gym was very busy. Cafe had very limited food unless you book in advance. Only a couple of seats at the side of the pool, no loungers. Overall a lovely place.
