Beautiful church with many interesting features. It feels a very quiet spiritual place.In the vestry is kept the severed head of Simon of Sudbury, former Archbishop of Canterbury and Lord Chancellor of England; who was executed in London by the mob during the peasants' revolt in June 1381. His head was recovered and returned to Sudbury, where he originated. It is not on public view.
